When you encounter a school bus with flashing red lights, stopping your vehicle and remaining stationary until the lights stop flashing is crucial for ensuring the safety of children who may be entering or exiting the bus. The flashing red lights indicate that children are around, and the bus is loading or unloading passengers. Stopping allows you to prevent any potential accidents, as children may not be fully aware of traffic and could unexpectedly enter the road.

This practice is not only a safety measure but also a legal requirement in many jurisdictions. Failing to stop can result in substantial fines and penalties. It is essential to adhere strictly to these traffic laws, not only for legal compliance but also to foster a safe environment for young students who rely on school buses.
